OUR VISION

We aims to be a fellowship of Great Commission churches who are glorifying God by building Christ’s Church in South Africa & globally and throughout the world. Our vision is to inspire churches and communities to imagine, discover, and create God's loving and just world and develop, disseminate, mutually validate, harmonize and inspire quality in theological education and aimed at fostering reciprocal trust among stakeholders including the church.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to know Jesus Christ as Lord, exalt Him as Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King; and complete His Great Commission and cultivates leaders in service with congregations, communities and classrooms:

Evangelizing and discipline people of all cultures globally
Incorporating them into Christ-centred, community-focused congregations.
Mobilizing them for active involvement in a missionary effort designed to plant Great Commission churches among both unreached and responsive peoples worldwide.

The council shall embody the historical traditions of theology, valuing both intellectual freedom and the affirmation of faith as the foundations of the theology.

The council shall serve as a continuing resource to churches, pastors, and professionals in ministry for their continuing education and as a reference and placement service for churches, pastors, and other church leaders.

Cultivate worldwide relationships, stimulated through gatherings communications for reflection, interaction dialogue, collaboration and practice in support of the church’s mission.

Train, consult and provide resources for those involved in theological education/designation marked by relevance, accessibility and collaborative effectiveness.

Global Theological Alliance Council is a community of theological institutions, organisations, churches and individuals committed to promoting excellence in theology in Southern Africa & globally. Our mission is to enhance the quality of theological designations and membership to foster a community of scholars and practitioners and promote the development of leaders who can serve the church and society.

Membership is available to all institutions, organisations and churches of theological operations and to non-formal tertiary providers of theological education, individuals or organisations that have a vested interest in theological designation & membership.
